CPTMA is a training association dedicated to improving not only the knowledge of training managers and trainers, but also improving the law enforcement educational environment. Working together, CPTMA’s network of our state’s training managers have this goal in mind every day. We look forward to those trainers wishing to raise the bar in law enforcement training to join us at our next meeting.
Today’s Training Managers are no longer one person in the department. Units such as FTO, Dispatch, K-9, and other specialty units have a person in charge of that unit’s training requirements. They therefore are de facto Training Managers. Whether the main Training Manager or unit Training Manager, CPTMA welcomes you into our association.
CPTMA is comprised of local area chapters that hold meetings and workshops within geographical areas best suited for their members. All chapters have their own Chapter Presidents that understand local issues and tailor meetings to those interests. Board members of local chapters comprise the statewide CPTMA Board.
As a member of CPTMA the benefit of open and friendly networking that occurs at our meetings is invaluable. Members can advertise upcoming courses, as well as find courses in their area. Members connect with other training managers from large and small departments improving knowledge from the vast experience each have.
At CPTMA meetings your local POST Consultant is there to give updated POST information. Consultants answer any questions you may have to assist you in your POST certified courses or any questions of concern. Your consultant's presentations at our meetings are highly valued by our membership. You will find them happy to assist you on all matters related to POST.
